“A well written pattern with clear explanations for the stitches used. It worked up quickly. I look forward to making more!” – Persinette Beanie, verified Etsy buyer.
Hello!
I’m working the Hayride Shrug. Question on Row 3 of body, when it calls for shell in middle hdc of each shell across, are you saying to shell in the middle space between the previous row shells? I am just befuddled. Can you explain what to do, I’m stuck 😊
Thank you so much!!
Hi Donna, thanks for getting in touch with your question! Each ‘shell’ consists of 3 hdc stitches, the shell in the following row should be placed directly on top, by working it into the middle of the shell below, (i.e. the centre hdc of the group of 3). The shells should appear to all sit on top of the ones directly below. I hope this helps clarify it for you! – Michelle x
I can not find what kind of shell you are talking about, how many hdc in these shels
Why make ehdc, cant we make hdc or dc instead?
Thanks, Leah
Hi Leah, this is the contact page but I’m assuming you’re referring to the Hayride shrug? All of my patterns here on the blog have a complete list of abbreviations and stitches, where you’ll find the information you’re looking for 🙂 Specifically for this pattern, the shell has 3 hdc. Hope that helps! Michelle
